Clip Mount Install Guide

Thank you for purchasing the original Honda Civic 10th gen mount! This mount is a precision fit from 3D scan data of the Civic’s interior, and designed to withstand most extreme car conditions.

Items Needed:

  1. Honda Civic 10th gen vehicle specific mount
  2. (Optional) Metal rings - affix to back of wireless charger, phone case, etc. 
  3. (Optional) Chargers - up to two 4mm wide charging cables

Before Installation:

STOP! Test fit mount before removing red adhesive backing. Removing the mount after install substantially weakens the adhesive. New adhesive is recommended for each re-install.

Installing the mount too high, low, or upside down will result in gaps between the adhesive and the trim. The trim is a complex curve, so 3D scanning was used to ensure the adhesive makes contact on all sides. 

With red backings still on, place mount on trim. Move mount up and down the trim near the climate control panel. The mount may rock left and right until the proper location is found.

INSTALLATION:

  1. Test fit mount
  2. Clean trim with alcohol wipe
  3. Firmly press mount onto trim
  4. Tuck away any charging cables

Maintenance:

The 3M VHB 5952 adhesive is industry standard for interior automotive accessories. In ideal conditions, this adhesive can withstand a continuous temperatures up to 200°F and short-term spikes up to 300°F. To properly maintain the adhesive contact between the mount and trim:

  1. Allow car to cool to a comfortable driving temperatures before mounting your device (below 90º F internal temp). 
  2. On hot days, firmly press your phone or thumb into the mount to restore adhesive bond between mount and trim.
  3. Use new adhesive for every re-install.
